We reserve the right to refuse sale to anyone for any reason.
Sales Policy for our Goats:
We will debud/dehorn all of our kids that are born with horns. This is done within a week of the kid's birth.
.
Our does are wonderful mothers… so we do not sell bottle babies unless something occurred naturally which requires us to bottle feed. The price of a goat does NOT include vet fees, labs, testing, or health certificates. If requested, these items may be done at the buyer’s expense. It is the buyer’s responsibility to determine what is needed for goats entering their state if the buyer lives outside of Georgia.
We require a non-refundable deposit of $100.00 to hold each adult goat until arranged pick-up date, or to hold each kid until they are weaned. Goats not picked up with-in 30 days of agreed upon pick-up date (unless other arrangements are made) will become the property of Southern Comfort Farm & Rabbitry and no refund will be given on any money already paid.
If you are purchasing a buck and wish for it to be castrated (wethered), please arrange that at time of deposit, so that it can be done prior to pick-up.
Final payment must be paid in cash, money order or certified check prior to the goat leaving our farm.
All sales are final and at no time will a refund be made after a goat has been picked up from our farm. Inspection prior to purchase is encouraged. We in no way intend to misrepresent any goat and cannot be held liable for the misrepresentation by a previous owner or owners.
Goats must be transported in appropriate carriers. It is the buyer’s responsibility to arrange transportation. We may be able to provide local shipping, transportation, or could meet you somewhere. Please contact us to discuss this option. We are not responsible for goats once they are purchased and picked up.
All goats are dewormed, vaccinated with CD/T, and hooves will be trimmed.
All adult Myotonic Goats will be registered through MGR. The necessary transfer paperwork will be provided to buyer at time of pickup. It will be the buyer’s responsibility to transfer goats into their name. All kids will be provided with the necessary paperwork for you to register them with the MGR at the time of pickup.
If you have any questions or would like more information about our sales policy, please feel free to contact us. We want the purchase of your new goat to be a smooth transaction and an exciting happy addition to your herd. Also, because goats are social herd animals, if you are purchasing your first goat we recommend you consider purchasing more than one goat at that time so that your goat has a goat friend.
Sales Policy for our Rabbits:
Our does are wonderful mothers…so we allow our kits to stay with their moms for 6-8 weeks, depending upon the individual circumstances. We then wean the litter and allow the kits to transition to being without mom with the comfort of their littermates. As a result, no kits will be sold under 8 weeks of age, and in most cases, will be at least 10-12 weeks of age or older. The price of a rabbit does NOT include vet fees, or health certificates. If requested, these items may be done at the buyer’s expense. It is the buyer’s responsibility to determine what is needed for rabbits entering their state if the buyer lives outside the state of Georgia.
We require a non-refundable deposit of 25% of the purchase price to hold each adult rabbit until arranged pick-up date, or to hold each kit until they are determined ready to go to a new home. Rabbits not picked up with-in 30 days of agreed upon pick-up date (unless other arrangements are made) will become the property of Southern Comfort Farm & Rabbitry and no refund will be given on any money already paid.
